Position Summary
The Operations team is responsible for managing some of NorthRock’s most strategic, complex and high value projects/initiatives influencing company operations, client service, and planning advice. The team consists of five Associates who apply in-depth knowledge of operations, processes, and technology to execute cross-functional reporting and innovation. They partner with teams across NorthRock to drive scale, ensure data consistency and drive platform integration across all parts of the organization. The Associate will help lead our digital account opening process initiatives, create accurate client deliverables for client meetings, and be a champion of technology innovation and change throughout the firm. Working with a team of six, the Associate will help elevate our spirit and culture of collaboration, innovation, and exploration that is simply contagious.

What You’ll Do Once Here
  • Work With Private Wealth Advisors and Client Service Managers to deliver exceptional client service
  • Work with Advisor Practices to implement operating procedures
  • Review and complete Client Meeting preparation deliverables and materials
  • Work with Operations Team regarding our digital account opening process initiatives
  • Maintain client portfolio data, and outside account aggregation tools
  • Ensure statements and deliverables are accurate and processed on time
  • Ensure Advisors are prepared with necessary meeting materials
  • Lead special project timelines and milestones for competition
  • Influence new hire success through the design and facilitation of on-boarding training through NorthRock University

  • Co-manage with a team of seven, the company’s technology platform – as assisted by various managed service providers
  • Serve as a dedicated desktop, productivity, and service representative to a segment of the staff to help colleagues reach maximal office productivity and personal computing
  • Influence new hire success through the design and facilitation of on-boarding training
  • As a team, handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, report and dashboards, workflows and other routine technology tasks
  • As a strategic partner, identify solutions to solve problems through creativity and innovation, while balancing novelty thinking with the responsible
  • Work with Advisor Practices to implement operating procedures

  • Quickly understand the business issues and challenges
  • Scanning and sensing opportunities for innovation across the Company
  • Sharing of best practices, trends, new technologies, business trends, etc.
  • Co-curate and host recurring training opportunities across the firm to inspire ingenuity, drive innovation, and grow skill set across the organization
Relevant Experience and Mindset
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • During the high demand seasons (e.g.; quarter-end), the full-time schedule will be driven by company needs. During traditional season, the full-time schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm
  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Record of success in improving processes and leading department growth
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage lateral and upwards
  • Experience with a CRM database is appreciated (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Emotional maturity, professional mindset, and the utmost discretion
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Flexibility with hours and scheduling; available to work overtime as needed
  • Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office and Apple iOS mobile; must be very tech savvy
